Verena Breitfuß is an Austrian cellist. She completed her bachelor's degree at the Anton Bruckner University Linz with Andreas Pözlberger and is currently studying for a master's degree with Prof Marcus Pouget at the Mozarteum Salzburg.

She has performed as a soloist at the Brucknerhaus Linz, Orchesterhaus Salzburg and Emailwerk Seekirchen and completed masterclasses with László Mezö, Hannah Roberts and Wen-Sinn Yang, among others. Her love of making music together has enabled her to perform at the Mozartfest Schloss Schwetzingen, the Victoria International Arts Festival Malta and the International Brucknerfest. In combination with live electronics, she performed at the Ars Electronica Festival and worked at the EMS Stockholm as ‘Artist in Residence’. In addition to her classical training and concert activities, she frequently performs in cross-genre and improvisational settings at home and abroad. 

Verena Breitfuß teaches at the Musikum Salzburg and works as a freelance cellist.
