Georg Steinschaden is Professor for Piano and Director of the "Pre-College Salzburg" at the University of Music and Performing Arts "Mozarteum". He is the President of the the Austrian Master Classesand teaches also at the Musikum Salzburg. He was chairman of the executive board of the youth competition "Prima la Musica" in Salzburg for seven years and a member of the management board "Prima la Musica" Austria.
His innumerable concerts with the "Steinschaden Trio Salzburg" have taken him to many countries in and outside of Europe (Italy, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, Japan, USA e.g. in CARNEGIE HALL in New York, and Mexico just to name a few). He has recorded many CDs and his work has been broadcasted on both radio and television ORF and ARD in Austria, on Japanese television he has appeared with ensembles such as the Eichendorff Quintet Vienna (members of the Vienna Philharmonic), the Amati Quartet Verona, and the Augsburg String Quartet, also with soloists like the famous Mezzo Soprano Angelika Kirchschlager. For the past twenty years Georg Steinschaden has also been busy with cultural management. He completed his studies in Piano and Pedagogics at the University of Music and Performing Arts "Mozarteum" in Salzburg with P.Lang, N.Shetler and A.Kontarski, and has won first prize on many occasions in the "Jugend musiziert" competitions.
