Sports psychology for musicians
Whether stage fright, concentration or stress management, the broad field of sports psychology offers many methods that can also be applied to musicians. As a sports psychologist and musician, I will introduce the topic and some proven methods that can offer help and support in different situations.
Additional course "Mental training for musicians”
Start the day relaxed After a short activation exercise to wake you up, you will learn various relaxation methods that can help you not only in your everyday life but especially in stage situations. We will try out autogenic training and breathing exercises, and I will also briefly introduce you to progressive muscle relaxation.
Mental Training Workshop: Building on the keynote speech, I will show you practical tools that you can use in your everyday life to help you perform better both on stage and in the rehearsal room. You will learn methods to overcome challenges such as stage fright, tension or insecurity. With simple, directly applicable techniques, I will help you to sustainably improve your musical performance.

Payment is made directly to the lecturer on site.
Please register as early as possible, as interest is usually high and places are limited to a maximum of 15 participants!

Leonhard Königseder is a sports psychologist, musician and educator. From 2010 – 2022 he was a percussionist and timpanist at the Graz Opera. Leonhard teaches mental training, autogenic training and music physiology at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) as well as drumset at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
